The Write Characters is a practical COURSE for writers who would like to explore, write and develop the characters in their story, and master the art of dialogue. TRAINER >Since he launched The Writing Studio 16 years ago Daniel Dercksen has presented over 500 workshops in scriptwriting and creative writing throughout South Africa. As a published playwright, writer and movie journalist, he is a qualified ETD Practitioner (Education, Training and Development) - accredited by SAQA (The South African Qualifications Authority) - working in accordance with the principles of the Department of Education and focusing on outcomes-based education, training and development, and has been involved in movie journalism for more than 20 years. As a published movie journalist, with more than 30 years experience, he writes regular interviews and features for the trade magazine Screen Africa, as well as the Sunday Tribune, The Sunday Independent, and other newspapers and magazines .During the last year he has published more than 30 features and interviews, ranging from interviews with prominent international and local actors, writers and directors, to aspiring documentary filmmakers for Animal Planet.
