ZOMBIELAND
****A wicked satire on America and Hollywood in particular. Although it's a gore fest with open season on hords of nasty looking hungry cannibalistic zombies, it is ultimately a coming of age story about finding love and friendship in the most unusual of places and under bizarre circumstances. Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) has made a habit of running from what scares him. Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) doesn't have fears. If he did, he'd kick their ever-living ass. In a world overrun by zombies, these two are perfectly evolved survivors. But now, they're about to stare down the most terrifying prospect of all: each other. "I always saw Zombieland as Midnight Run with zombies," says Ruben Fleischer, director of the film.  "Like that movie, it crosses so many genres at once.  First and foremost, it's a comedy, a road movie.  It's obviously got a horror element to it, and there's romance as well.  I was excited because of all the different aspects of the film, and my goal was to keep it grounded and strike just the right tone."
