ALIEN QUADRILOGY
***** One of the must-have collections of all time, this ultimate edition features a spectacular 9 disc special edition boxset: Disc One features the theatrical version as well as Ridley Scott's 2003 director's cut of Alien; Disc Three has the theatrical and the 1991 special edition of Aliens; Disc 5 has the theatrical version and the special edition of Alien 3; and the theatrical and special edition of Alien Resurrection is found on Disc Seven. On discs two, four, six and eight you will find excellent supplementary documentaries to each of the films. Disc Nine is a supplemental disc that includes documentaries and trailers on all four films. ARMAGEDDON (two disc special edition) ***** The first disc of this exciting release features the digitally remastered film as well as two commentary tracks: one featuring Michael Bay, Producer Jerry Bruckenheimer, Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck, and the second featuring cinematographer John Schwartzman, NASA consultant Dr. Joe Allen and asteroid consultant Ivan Bekey. The supplemental second disc has deleted behind the scenes compiled by Michael Bay, storyboards and production design drawings, analyses of the special effects by visual effects supervisors Richard Hoover, Pat McClung and Hoyt Yeatman.

BACK TO THE FUTURE TRILOGY ***** Featuring the highly popular time travelers Michael J. THE FRENCH CONNECTION (special edition) ***** Based on a true story, these action packed thrillers tells the story of a New York City detective who tries to break a narcotics smuggling ring. French Connection I features two discs - the first includes audio commentary by director William Friedkin, and disc two features making-of documentaries as well as director Friedkin discussing deleted scenes. French Connection II has audio commentary by director John Frankenheimer as well as the original trailers.

GANGS OF NEW YORK  (two disc edition) **** Martin Scorsese's exciting period drama is set in New York in the 19th Century and examines the brutal realities of the crime plagued city. It pits a revengeful young man (Leonardo di Capprio) against the evil tyrant (Daniel Day Lewis). GAVIN & STACEY (The complete collection) ***** This is a remarkable BBC comedy-drama series you can really settled down to and watch from start to finish. Winner of two Baftas and four British comedy awards, it tells the story of Gavin (James Corden), an ordinary boy from Billericay in London, and Stacey (Ruth Gordon), an ordinary girl from Barry, South Wales. After speaking on the phone to each other every day at work for six months, they finally meet and fall in love. Two world collide head on in a hilarious series of adventures as Gavin and Stacey try desperately to keep their relationship going, despite the odds. Seperated by a long bridge and a toll gate, they are up against Gavin's parents, Stacey's mom and Uncle Bryn and best mates Nessa and Smithy. You will fall hopelessly in love with these characters, who are brought to life by first rate British actors. It was written by Janes Cordon and Ruth Gordon and directed by Christine Gernon. The 6 Disc DVD set  includes Series 1, 2 and 3, as well as the Christmas Special, and has some great Bonus Features, including outtakes and some of the actors' favourite scenes.

THE GODFATHER (dvd collection) ***** A bonus in Francis Ford Coppola's masterful gangster trilogy is the additional behind the scenes DVD, featuring 'The Godfather Family: A Look Inside', 'On Location', 'Francis Coppola's Notebook', and 'Coppola and Puzo on Screenwriting'.

INGLORIOUS BASTERDS (Two Disc) ***** Employing pulp and propaganda in equal measure, Quentin Tarantino's INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS weaves together the infamous, oppressed, real and larger-than-life stories of WWII. In the first year of the German occupation of France, Shosanna Dreyfus (Melanie Laurent) witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz). Shosanna narrowly escapes and flees to Paris where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a cinema. Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) organizes a group of Jewish American soldiers to perform swift, shocking acts of retribution. Later known to their enemy as "the basterds," Raine's squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget von Hammersmark (Diane Kruger) on a mission to take down the leaders of the Third Reich. Fates converge under a cinema marquis, where Shosanna is poised to carry out a revenge plan of her own.... INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE (special edition)
***** If you have ever wondered how Anne Rice adapted her novel into a screenplay, and how director Neil Jordan visualised her story, this disc provides all the answers and more. Other than the insightful documentary 'In The Shadow of the Vampire', there is an excellent audio commentary by Neil Jordan, particularly focusing on the adaptation and the characters.

THE LAST SAMURAI (two disc edition)
***** This fantastic edition features the film and director Edward Zwick's excellent audio commentary on the first disc. The features on disc 2 includes superb documentaries: Hollywood versus The Last Samurai, Tom Cruise in conversation with director Edward Zwick, and documentaries on the production design, costume design, weapon training and deleted scenes. THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RINGS (the collector's dvd gift set) ***** This special Extended edition of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is a must for any avid collector. With no constraints on the film's running time, director Peter Jackson extended the film by more than 30 minutes, with more character development and more magic. Rather than simply inserting deleted scenes, Jackson approached this Extended Edition as if he were creating a whole new version of the film. THE LORD OF THE RINGS: TWO TOWERS  (special extended gift set edition) ***** Forty-two minutes of new and extended scenes were added, including 200 new visual effect shots and new score by composer Howard Shore. The Appendices magnificently explores and explains the making of the film with over 100 in-depth interviews with the cast and crew, providing a comprehensive first hand perspective on the making of the film. A highlight is an entire never-before seen featurette/documentary expressly made on the creation of Gollum. This set includes five discs. Disc one and two include the extended version of the film, with some great additional commentaries by the filmmakers and writers; Disc three looks at the origins of and designing Middle-earth, from book to script - finding the story, the Weta workshop and the Gollum doccie; Disc four looks at 'Warriors of the Third Age', the filming of 'Two Towers', the digital work and sets, editing, music score and sound effects. MINORITY REPORT  (two disc edition) ***** If you loved the film this two disc set is an absolute must. It is indeed a 'Blast Off', with tons of special features: there's a 'From story to screen featurette' looking at 'the story', 'the debate' and 'the players'. The 'Deconstructing Minority Report' featurette takes you into the world of Minority Report, Pre-crime and pre-cogs', the fascinating spyder sequence, the Pre-cog visions and vehicles of the future. If this is not enough there's a featurette on the stunts, ILM (Industrial Light and Magic), the special effects gurus, and a final report by Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise. THE MISSION (two disc special edition) ***** Roland Joffe's powerful action epic about the conflict between a man of the sword (Robert de Niro) and a man of the cloth (Jeremy Irons). Disc one has a full-length commentary by director Roland Joffe and an all-new digital transfer soundtrack remastered in Dolby Digital 5.1. Disc Two features a bonus documentary 'Omnibus', which visit's the film's South American location shoot and examines the heartwarming lives of the Waunana Indians who portrayed the film's Guarani Tribespeople.

ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA  (two disc special edition) ***** For the first time since its screening at Cannes in 1984, can fans now view the full 221 minute version of Sergio Leone's epic story that portrays 50 years of riveting underworld history. Disc one features the first part of the film as well as audio commentary by Film Critic Richard Schickel; the second disc has part two of the film and additional bonuses: excerpt from the documentary 'Once Upon a Time: Sergio Leone', profiling the making of the film.

ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST (two disc special edition) ***** This set is an absolute must for any avid collector. It is one of the only independent films to scoop 5 Oscars at the 1975 Academy Awards: Best Picture, Actor (Jack Nicholson), Actress (Louise Fletcher), Director (Milos Forman) and adapted screenplay (Lawrence Hauben and Bo Goldman). What makes this disc remarkable is the excellent behind-the scenes documentary. It is an insightful journey into the world of an immortal classic. There is also excellent feature length commentary by director Milos Forman and Producer Michael Douglas, and amazing additional scenes that were cut out and have never been seen before.

PEARL HARBOR (the special edition) ***** If you are keen on collecting DVDs with great bonus features, this is a must. The 'One Hour Over Tokoy' documentary, 'Deconstructing Destruction' and the awesome 'Production Diary' makes for entertaining and insightful viewing.

ROBIN HOOD: PRINCE OF THIEVES (extended two disc edition)
***** Adventure fans will delight in this release: disc one includes the extended version (12 extra minutes), feature-length audio commentary with Kevin Costner and director Kevin Reynolds, as well as commentary with Morgan Freeman, Christian Slater and the producers. Disc 2 includes a marvellous making of documentary 'Robin Hood: Myth, Man, Movie, vintage interviews with the stars of the film, and photo galleries.

THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW (two disc special edition set)
***** A must for any fan. The features include audio commentary by creator Richard O' Brien and Patricia Quinn (who plays Magenta), deleted scenes and outtakes, the 'Theatre Experience', and a Participation Prompter. There's also a colourful booklet.

SAVING PRIVATE RYAN (two disc edition) ***** Winner of 5 Oscars, the historic D-Day invasion in France during World War II is seen through the eyes of a squad of American soldiers; and focuses on their mission to find a young soldier. The second disc features a special 'Into The Beach' documentary. Unfortunately there's no commentary Oscar winning director Steven Spielberg.

7EVEN (two disc edition) ***** This brilliant two disc set will delight anyone who enjoyed the film and want to know more about how the film was made. On the first disc there's four audio commentaries, including one with the writers, and one with the director and cast. The second disc features an interesting explanation of the expensive opening scene, deleted scenes and extended takes, alternate endings… All in all, one for the collection.

SILENCE OF THE LAMBS (special two disc edition) ***** This superb two disc collection has some great features: 'Inside the Labyrinth: The Making of Silence of the Lambs'; deleted scenes and outtakes. A must for any avid collector. Director's commentary is sadly absent.

STAR WARS II: ATTACK OF THE CLONES (two disc set)
*****A must for any Star War fan! There's over six hours of bonus materials: Disc One includes feature length audio commentary by writer/director George Lucas, producer Rick McCallum, picture editor and sound designer Ben Burtt, ILM animation director Rob Coleman and ILM visual effects supervisor Pablo Hellman. The tons of features on Disc Two includes eight deleted scenes, a full length documentary on digital animation, a comprehensive award-winning twelve-part web documentary series, and featurettes exploring the general storyline.

STAR WARS TRILOGY  (4 disc set) ***** A must for any sci-fi fan. This set includes all three classic films - Star Wars IV (A New Hope), Star Wars V (The Empire Strikes Back), Stars Wars VI (Return of the Jedi) - digitally restored and remastered, plus a bonus disc with over four hours of special features. This includes an extended DVD version of 'Empire of Dreams', the all new documentary; three featurettes chronicling the evolution of the legendary Characters of Star Wars, a glimpse at The Birth of the Lightsaber; and exclusive behind-the-scenes look at episode III; still galleries; DVD-ROM weblinks. The films also have all-new commentaries for each film by George Lucas, cast and crew.

X-MEN X-TREME (two disc edition of the original film) ***** Fans, film students and film buffs will delight in this edition: you can view the film in different modes - the original version, the film with audio commentary from director Bryan Singer, enhanced viewing mode which includes extended scenes with optional director's commentary, and enhanced viewing mode with extended scenes and 17 behind the scenes segments. Disc two can be viewed in two different modes including additional bonus features: 'Bringing the X-Men to life', Producing the X-Men: Becoming Part of the Crew', Special effects, and Reflections of the X-Men.
