TILT AT WINDMILLS A screenplay for a 26-minute short film by Marlena Louw. Aunt and niece live together in a labourer's house on a desolate and barren farmland in South Africa. Their close bond is shattered after tragedy struck and although they still live together, feelings of guilt and the burden of self-reproach they each carry in their hearts have driven a wedge between them. It tells the story of two people who, both in their own way feel the need for redemption. The story is rich in powerful images and symbols taken from the Bible, from nature as well as from the surrounding landscape but especially from those universal human qualities to drive this moving story heavy with atmosphere and change.
